How to Apply Credit Notes


You can apply Credits Notes if you are over paid for an invoice. 

Note: Before applying credit notes, ensure that the Customer has credit notes. 

You can check that on the:

Contact Card

Go to the Contact card of the vendor and you can see the amount of vendor credits under the name. The ones on the right are credit notes. 


Credit Notes Page

Go to Sales >> Credit Notes


Applying Credit Notes 

To apply credit notes to an invoice: 

  1. Go to Sales >> Invoices
  2. Select the invoice you want to apply the credits to 
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the invoice and click Apply Credits


  4. This will open a popup with the total balance and you can choose the amount you want to apply to the invoice


  5. Once you have entered your amount, click Save


  6. When you do that,
    • The invoice's status will update to Paid
    • You will see the amount of credits applied to the invoice
    • The Apply Credits button will grey out and the number of credits left will decrease
